About Imogen

I trained in the BA Acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since graduating I have performed at theatres in the UK and Australia, including the Sydney Opera House, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre (UK), Orange Tree Theatre (UK), Melbourne Theatre Company, and with well-known companies such as Bell Shakespeare and Kneehigh Theatre (UK). I have plenty of film and TV experience - I played the lead role in the indie feature film Dark Noise, with Main Course Films, and recently had a guest role on Neighbours. I love exploring scripts and acting in new ways to make your work daring, alive and fun!

About the lesson

Whether you're preparing for a specific audition, you're new to acting, or you're an emerging actor looking to improve your skills, these sessions will help you develop your own process and refine your work.

Acting Coaching: I'll help you to find confidence in your own process and share the way I work with you, from script analysis to embodiment. For contemporary scripts we’ll work on finding truth and clarity, physicality, and making bold, exciting choices. For classical texts we’ll explore vocal techniques, connecting with the language, and unlocking the text so that you can play with it and make it your own.

Audition Prep: If you’ve got an audition coming up and want to flesh out a scene, I can help you connect to your material, make strong choices, and embody your own take on the role.

Self-Taping Service: Need to record a self-tape? I have a full camera setup and can help you get your best takes. And if you’d like coaching during the process, just let me know — up to you.

Perfect! I can’t recommend Imogen enough. Even in just a few lessons, she has already made a big difference, whether we’re working on Shakespeare or contemporary monologues. My English is far from perfect, but with her patience and warmth, it never feels like an obstacle. She has a rare intuition for guiding actors, and as I prepare for auditions, I feel both inspired and supported.

Perfect! Imogen is a friendly and brilliant acting coach who creates a safe environment which invites you to delve into a script, adding new ideas while also appreciating what you bring to the scenes that you act in. It has been a really great experience so far and will definitely continue to be. Imogen is helpful with highlighting unique details that can contribute to your process, the script and how you adapt a scene when filming self tapes. I look forward to future lessons and exploring a variety of scripts in different ways.
