About Shawnda
My name is Shawnda Worsham. This is my 7th year in high school math. I graduated with a bachelors in special education, master in education, and most recently a specialist in educational research. I work hard to help all types of learners understand math and how it relates to the real world.

I typically work in a Geometry or Algebra I classroom. My lessons would involve real world applications of material to help students understand the need to learn the material. I also like to use a lot of guided practice with my lessons in order to help students understand the process of solving the problems. I take the lessons that we use in guided practice to develop skills that students can then apply to their own practice to confirm mastery of the material. I try to do everything I can to help the students understand what we are talking about before moving on to our next lesson as I like to focus on mastery over the amount of material that is covered.
