About Kathryn
I am a student looking to put my talents to use. Completed AMEB Grade 8 and ABRSM Grade 8 at the age of 10. Accomplished up to AMEB Grade 4 theory. Additionally, I am able to offer electone or Yamaha based lessons as well as composition (music writing). I will be aiming to teach kids who are around the age from 5-14 who are undergoing exams or are just looking to learn piano and music for fun!

I will focus on technique, accuracy, creativity and expression in piano playing, while also working on fundamental requirements and theory. Examples of theory work include note reading, scales, musical terms, etc. I aspire to develop a passion and enjoyment for kids who enjoy learning the piano and music overall. Open to exam options and will offer to teach ABRSM or AMEB preliminary grades - Grade 6. My objective is to create friendly, efficient and enjoyable lessons to minimise pressure as much as possible as it can be difficult learning music under coercion. I am hoping to reach a more creative aspect in music in the sense that the student will be able to write their own music and explore different styles.

She is really outgoing, friendly and in general a great person. She is a great friend who always cares for others rather than being selfish and I believe her communication skills, leadership and her high valuable experience on piano would be a valuable opportunity for younger kids.
Kathryn is an excellent piano teacher as she is experienced, motivating and friendly. She is very informative and will help you gain knowledge in the piano field. Kathryn also has perfect pitch meaning she will help and guide you to become the best pianist you can be.
