About Tony
I'm Tony, and I'm an SAT/ACT coach with experience in both private tutoring and the college readiness industry. I'm also an elite scorer myself, achieving a 1570 on the SAT and a 1470 on the PSAT, earning a college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship. Given my combined personal and professional experience, I have a unique perspective as to the real keys to success for the SAT. I've been tutoring students one-on-one in the SAT since 2022, and have since logged hundreds of hours on a different platform called Wyzant, helping hundreds of students achieve their dream scores. In 2024, I joined the admissions consulting company Ultimate Ivy League Guide as head of their SAT department. On top of working directly with students, I developed an overarching curriculum with learning resources that cover everything students need to perform at the elite level. In all my years of experience, I've found that students fundamentally misunderstand what it takes to score well on the SAT. Because school systems prioritize standardized testing, generations of students have been taught shortcuts and memorization tricks to remember and replicate standardized answers. Unfortunately, college entrance exams are exactly designed to prey on that. In reality, preparing for the SAT is not about learning the right strategies to get every question right; it's about learning and understanding the material so well that every question becomes easy. Under this thesis, I believe that any student can walk the path to success given enough time and effort. With my experience and expertise, I can set you on that path and make each step as easy as possible. What's truly important is that the knowledge and skills students learn in my lessons will apply to the entirety of their academic careers, not just the SAT. At the end of the day, you'll easily forget something you memorized once for a test, but you'll never forget something you legitimately understand.

In our SAT lessons, we'll assess the specific areas of knowledge we need to work on, learn how to progress in those areas, and develop the skills and strategies to answer SAT questions.
The top priority of our lessons is to learn and improve because I believe that the difficulty of the SAT is directly tied to how well you know the material. I help my students see through the SAT's academic veneer and develop the actual skills being tested.
My lessons are intended for high-school students who are willing to genuinely learn and understand in order to achieve their dream score.
