About Chase
I am a professional mathematics and computer science tutor with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). I have several years of full-time tutoring experience and have completed more than 2,000 hours of one-on-one instruction with hundreds of high school and college students.
In mathematics, I tutor precalculus, AP Precalculus, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Calculus I and II, multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, college statistics, and other advanced topics.
In computer science, I tutor Python, C++, Java, introductory programming, data structures and algorithms, debugging, object-oriented programming, coding assignments, and technical interview preparation. I also help students connect the theory behind algorithms and data structures to practical code.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and low-pressure. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and slowing down when something does not make sense. I explain ideas in multiple ways and adapt each lesson to the student’s background, goals, and learning style.
My goal is to make difficult material feel less intimidating while helping students become more confident and independent. I take every student’s progress seriously, but I also believe lessons should feel supportive, approachable, and enjoyable.

I provide patient, structured, and personalized tutoring in precalculus, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and college-level calculus. My goal is not only to help students solve individual problems, but also to help them understand why the methods work and develop strategies for approaching unfamiliar questions independently.
I adapt my teaching method to each student’s needs. I use clear explanations, visual interpretations, guided questions, and carefully chosen examples. When a student is struggling, I identify whether the difficulty comes from the current topic or from an earlier gap in algebra, functions, trigonometry, or another prerequisite.
A typical lesson begins with a discussion of the student’s goals and the concepts or problems causing difficulty. I explain the main ideas, work through examples with the student, and gradually give them more responsibility for solving problems independently. We finish by reviewing the main takeaways, common mistakes, and what to practice next.
What sets me apart is my combination of strong mathematical knowledge, patience, and extensive tutoring experience. I have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and have completed more than 2,000 hours of tutoring with hundreds of students. I focus on building confidence, intuition, and problem-solving ability rather than encouraging students to memorize disconnected steps.
My lessons are designed for high school and college students taking precalculus, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Calculus I, Calculus II, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, or other advanced calculus-based courses. I can help with ongoing coursework, homework, exam preparation, AP review, catching up after falling behind, or strengthening foundations before beginning a more advanced course.
