About Maya
I am a History of Art BA graduate in the UK, but I come from Switzerland. I am Swiss, French, and Brazilian. I am currently studying for my MA in Heritage. I have always loved sharing my culture and languages with the world and volunteered frequently to do so. Before coming to the UK for my studies, I passed my French Baccalauréat in Switzerland with the advanced literature and languages option. I love to read and talk about films, a tool I love to use in my lessons, which helped me greatly when I reached English proficiency.

I will work with the basics of conversation and make people confident speaking. I will work through vocabulary and grammar, and if wanted, text comprehension and different French accents and dialects. I want to build personalised lessons to answer my students' wishes. I have volunteered in my hometown refugee office to provide French tutoring and homework help for children who had not yet learnt French and were transitioning from intensive French lessons to normal lessons (in French). I can teach both children and adults.
