About Bethany
I hold a Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Theatre and extended minor in Sociology from the University of the Fraser Valley. I have over 20 years of performing experience including competing with the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals at the National Level in Musical Theatre in 2017 and 2019. Additionally, I am currently pursuing further education and professional training in Film and TV acting in Toronto. I am passionate about the arts and the impact that we as artists have on our society and I thrive off of tutoring fellow artists wanting to better their craft.

My goal is to help students use their creativity to help foster and facilitate confidence in themselves, both in their portrayals of new characters as well as in their own everyday life. A typical session will focus on student skills and developing them further through acting exercises, games and technique as well as voice and breath work. For more experienced students, I also provide assistance with in-depth character analysis, using sociological perspectives and questioning to assist in the practice of suspending their own frame of reference in order to see life through another person's lens and be able to bring authenticity to portraying characters different than themselves. Tutoring sessions can be catered to students ages 8-25 from varying skill levels.
