About Santhea
I am a student at the University of Cape Town who is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts but always had a strong analytic mind. From a young age, I had a passion for mathematics and English. I was selected for the Youth Touch Rugby World Cup in 2018 but was matriculating that year and put my studies first.

I have a very different outlook on mathematics than the way it was taught to me, and this philosophy extends to physical science as well. I believe that to fully flourish in these subjects, one must understand the key concepts as opposed to formulas or by association and/or recognition of keywords/diagrams/memorisation.
In lessons, I will focus on unpacking the theoretical side of questions as opposed to going from one example to another. I will refine the systematic thought process students can use when approaching any mathematics, physics, or chemistry question. I will work to combat anxiety especially associated with these subjects by working step-by-step through problems and theory without oversimplification. This will allow students to be able to approach any question, even a seemingly unseen concept, in an exam without panic and a good theoretical process to maximise marks.
