About Elliot
This one's about who you are and why you teach — more personal than the lessons section. Here's a draft:
I'm a third-year medical student at Imperial College London, where I'm training in one of the most academically demanding programmes in the country. Before medicine, I achieved A*s in Biology and English Literature at A-Level and 13 Grade 9s at GCSE — so I know what it takes to perform at the top end, and I remember clearly what it felt like to be working towards those grades.
I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy the process of explaining things well. There's something satisfying about finding the right way into a concept for a particular student — the explanation that finally makes it click.
Outside of tutoring, I play violin in the medics orchestra and play for the medics rugby team at Imperial.

My sessions are tailored from the start. The first lesson is always diagnostic, aimed at understanding where a student is, how they learn, and what they're working towards. From there I build a structured programme around their specific needs, whether that's filling gaps, refining exam technique, or pushing for top grades.
I tutor A-Level Biology and English Literature, GCSE Sciences, Maths, and English, and also support students with competitive university applications including medicine. Lessons are typically an hour and combine direct teaching with active practice — past papers, mark schemes, and targeted questions rather than passive note-taking.
As a third-year medical student at Imperial, I bring genuine subject depth to Biology in particular, and draw on my own recent experience of high-stakes exams and applications to make sessions as practical and relevant as possible.
