About Omid
Hello, Please let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Omid, a recent Information Technology major graduate of York University. I am a software developer. I have been giving private and group lessons in math, English, science and programming since 2009.

I base my teachings on problem-solving. Mathematics is not a memorization course, rather it is the art of solving questions using logic and common sense. When I facilitate a tutoring session, it is important for me to assess the student's initial strengths and weaknesses. Then I start working on problems with the student while explaining the definitions and assisting the student with what they don't know. After the student masters the current material we move on to gradually more and more challenging problems. The gradual increase of difficulty while moving through the concepts is proven to be the most effective and fun way to learn new things, especially math!
