About Stephen

"I am a professional musician and educator with over 17 years of experience in schools and a career that has taken me from the national charts to the stage of The Voice. My journey as a songwriter and performer has taught me that music is more than just the notes on a page; it’s a powerful tool for building self-esteem and resilience.

I want to teach because I am passionate about helping the next generation of musicians discover the same joy and confidence that music has given me. Whether I am guiding a student through their first piece, a guitar riff, or a vocal performance, my goal is to provide a supportive space where they feel empowered to take risks, develop their skills, and truly enjoy the creative process."

About the lesson

"With over 17 years of teaching experience and a career as a professional recording artist, I bridge the gap between technical theory and real-world performance. Whether we are tackling Voice, Guitar, or both, my approach is tailored to building your unique musical confidence. From VCE preparation to songwriting and recording, I draw on my journey—from The Voice to national tours—to help you find your own sound and excel on stage."
