About Courtney
I love teaching and seeing my students succeed. I approach teaching with a gradual release, using an “I do, we do, you do” method. I start by explaining the topic, giving examples, then practicing the skill with some sort of shared activity. I then move to assess the student’s understanding with an individual assessment.

I am a college graduate who has been teaching full time for 3 years. Prior to that, I worked as an intervention specialist with a specific focus on English language arts. My areas of focus include reading comprehension of literature & informational text, grammar, spelling and writing skills. I have the most experience with 4th-8th grade, but can work with any age/ skill level!
