About Matthias
Hi! I’m Matthias, and I recently graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Law and French. As part of my degree, I studied at the University of Strasbourg, where I had the opportunity to live, study, and use French in my everyday life.
Languages have always been really important to me, I enjoy discovering different cultures and connecting with people through language learning, and I hope to be able to be able to share my enthusiasm with students. I speak 3 languages and am currently learning a 4th, which has given me an appreciation of the challenges and rewards that come with learning a language.
Outwith language learning, I enjoy playing music and travelling, and the opportunities these give me to meet people, and explore different cultures.

I offer flexible individual tutoring sessions of up to an hour at a time.
The focus of each session depends on the needs of the individual learner, and can change as is required.
I can help support a learner preparing for exams by helping them practise the 4 main skills of language learning: speaking, reading, writing and grammar, and also exploring francophone culture.
My sessions are aimed at secondary school pupils, however, I am open to helping learners of all ages.
I studied French at secondary school at National 5 and Higher, and have now graduated university with a degree in Law and French. As part of my studies, I spent a year abroad living in France, where my law classes were completely through the medium of French.
