About Mary

Hi! I’m a Law student at City St George’s, University of London, having previously studied A-level Law, Business and Psychology. I grew up in Athens and speak fluent Greek and English, as well as Chinese and some French.

As a language learner myself, I understand how it feels to get stuck, make mistakes and gradually build confidence. I bring that understanding to my tutoring, creating a friendly, relaxed environment where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace.

About the lesson

Hi! I grew up in Athens, speak Greek fluently and achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Modern Greek. I’d love to help you feel more confident using the language, whether you’re learning your first words, improving your conversation skills or aiming for a great GCSE result.

I welcome learners of all ages, from complete beginners to intermediate students. My lessons are relaxed, encouraging and tailored to you, we can practise everyday conversations, make sense of tricky grammar or build your vocabulary around topics you enjoy.

Having taken GCSE Greek myself, I know how helpful it is to have someone explain things clearly and give you space to practise. For GCSE students, we can focus on speaking, listening, reading and writing, alongside revision and exam technique.

Growing up in Greece gave me a love for the language and culture that I’m excited to share. Whatever your reason for learning Greek, my aim is to make each lesson enjoyable and help you leave feeling more confident than when you started!
