I trust in immersive language learning where the student uses the language from day 1 without any intermediary language (unless requested). My approach is to recreate real-life situations via roleplays, to listen and read authentic texts. Audiovisual elements are therefore often incorporated during my lessons. I do prefer teaching grammar in an intuitive fashion instead of making the student memorize conjugation tables. I usually start off with a brief conversation, correct pronunciation and tailor the rest of the time according to the students' needs: imagine you need Spanish for holidays. I will center the vocab and the roleplays around YOUR desired topics.
