About Sera
I’ve taught Spanish for more than 7 years, and I believe the most memorable lessons happen through culture and creativity. With a BA in Comparative Literature, I bring together art history, architecture, and storytelling. My classes often begin with a painting, a sculpture, or a building—something that sparks curiosity. We discuss the artistic techniques and historical background in Spanish, building descriptive and analytical vocabulary. You’ll learn to critique artwork, compare styles, and express opinions fluently. We also study architectural terms, from columns and domes to symmetry and proportion. This method makes learning both linguistic and visual. Students develop stronger memory through association with art and design. Each lesson connects beauty with expression, helping Spanish feel natural and alive. My approach also nurtures confidence in cultural conversations.
