How to calculate the square of a no. in your head?? Lets find out.
37^2=30^2+2×30×7+7^2=900+420+49=1369.

(i) Now, take the no in unit place and square it
7^2= 49 (keep 9 as it is and take
4 in hand)
(ii) Multiply the digits in unit and tens place by 2 and add 4 (from step i ) to it
2×3×7=42 +4 = 46 (keep 6 as it is and take 4 in hand)
(iii) Take the no in tens place and square it and add 4(from step ii)
3^2=9 +4=13
Now you kept 9 in step i) so keep in the unit place, 6 in step ii) so keep it in the tens place and 13 in step iii) so keep it in the hundreds place.
i.e. 13_6_9= 1369
which is the same as that of 37^2.
Make sure to follow the steps in order.
