About Olivia
I understand how overwhelming it can be to transition from school to adulthood. I’ve been through that experience recently, and I know how valuable support can be during this time. I want to teach because I believe students can gain a lot from my personal experiences. I’m passionate about helping others not only improve academically but also gain the confidence to tackle the challenges that come with this new stage of life. By offering guidance and practical advice, I hope to make the process easier and help students feel prepared for uni. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share what I’ve learned and make a real difference.

As a current law university student, I offer lessons that are both practical and relatable. Having gone through the transition from sixth form to university myself, I understand the challenges and can help students navigate this important phase. I focus on what is truly necessary, offering support in essay writing and academic skills, along with practical advice on how university expectations differ from college. My goal is to not only improve your skills but also boost your confidence, so you feel fully prepared for what lies ahead. With my A-level qualification in English Literature and a deep understanding of poetry, I teach students to go beyond surface-level reading. I help them uncover the layers of meaning in texts, exploring not just what the writer wrote, but what they intended, how they felt, and the messages they wanted to convey. My lessons focus on analyzing themes, symbols, and the writer’s stylistic choices, helping students develop a critical eye and a deeper appreciation for the art of literature. I guide students to form their own interpretations, encouraging them to engage with texts in a way that challenges their thinking and enriches their understanding.
