About Alistair
I am an LSE undergraduate studying Geography and Economics. I got 4 A* at A Level, including mathematics. I have taught 2 students do far, one in Year 7, and the other in Year 12. Both students have been very satisfied with my teaching methods and have improved tremendously in just a couple months.

I teach by breaking down the topic into its key components, starting with the simple foundations. Once I am happy that this is understood, I move on to explain the more difficult parts of the topic. I go through examples, and once the student understands, I ask them to take me through examples, allowing them to demonstrate and test their knowledge. Even if it requires extra time in order to ensure that the student understands the content, i am willing to do so at no extra cost because i believe that a lesson is only successful if they understand the content well.

Alistair and I have been good friends for year - he has been as great and trustworthy as a tutor as he is a friend.
He takes time to go through hard topics and is able to easily explain different concepts within a topic (as well as provide other useful knowledge that can be applied). Through I’ve spent with him tutoring, I’ve been able to consolidate a lot of ideas that I have struggled with in maths, for example. He took his time to go through things that I need to know and help me find solutions to difficult questions.
He is also very flexible, and has been able to hold tutoring sessions most times during the week.
I recommend him to other Superprof members as I believe he is capable of helping almost anybody. He is patient and very knowledgeable, so as a tutor he would most definitely be able to take on students of all sorts.When being tutored by him he was very punctual, and would explain problems to me in an easily digestible way and would teach at a suitable pace.
