About Mia

Hello! I'm Mia, a native Chinese speaker from Taiwan. I've lived in London for six years. Before moving to the UK to chase my modeling dreams, I actually taught myself English! During my time in London, I worked as a Chinese nanny, an exchange student, and a Chinese tutor, so I really understand the challenges and joys of learning a new language! I just moved to Italy and I'm currently teaching myself Italian.

Although I don't have formal classroom teaching experience, I've developed a passion and skill for teaching Chinese through real-life interactions. While living in London, I worked as a Chinese nanny and an exchange student, often helping kids learn Chinese in fun, natural, and immersive ways. I've also assisted friends and language learners with Chinese conversation practice, vocabulary building, and understanding Taiwanese and Asian culture. These experiences have made me appreciate the power of personalized one-on-one learning.

About the lesson

I especially love creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment, allowing learners to use Chinese comfortably, confidently, and curiously in their daily lives.

I believe learning can and should be fun, and real-life experiences are the most effective way to truly connect with a language!

My teaching style is easygoing, friendly, and highly encouraging. I particularly enjoy teaching through engaging daily conversations and creative activities, so you can learn Chinese in a natural and enjoyable way!
