About Xiaoran
I graduated with a master's degree in science (major in physics) and an honors bachelor's degree in science (major in physics minor in math), and I got another honors bachelor's degree in science in China. So definitely, I can tutor in both English and Chinese (Mandarin)! As a pre-international student, I understand how struggling that study math and science with a second language can be. I believe that I can help students whose mother tongue is not English to learn mathematics and science better under the English education system.

I have plenty of experience helping students who have difficulties with understanding school materials, concepts, applying formulas, and exam panic. I usually use real-life examples to help students learn and give them practice questions to make sure they understand completely.

When she explains things she is very patient and thorough. She helps me walk through the problems and answers any questions that I have.
Xiaoran has been tutoring me in physics and is very knowledgeable and well versed in the subject. She is patient and makes sure I know how to do problems on my own after she’s shown me how to attack them. I trust her to know the best way to complete problems and that she will explain them in a way that I understand. For these reasons I think Xiaoran would make a great teacher.
