About Lauren
I have 12 years of experience teaching guitar, with a special focus on building confidence and creativity in adult learners. My teaching style is flexible and supportive, designed to meet you where you are and help you reach your musical goals. Together, we set practical, achievable targets that keep you motivated and progressing. I hold a Diploma of Music with a Guitar Specialization, which helps me bring a strong musical foundation to every lesson. I believe music is a lifelong journey, and it’s never too late to explore your creative side. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or returning after years away, I encourage self-expression and personal growth through music. My lessons are tailored to your interests and pace, making learning enjoyable and rewarding. I’m here to support you in overcoming challenges and celebrating your successes. Playing guitar should feel fun and fulfilling, no matter your age or experience. If you’re ready to rediscover your musical side and build your skills with confidence, I’d love to help guide your journey.

My teaching approach is all about helping you tell stories through your guitar playing. I focus on musical storytelling, exploring how to use dynamic contrast, tension and release, and theme development to make your music more expressive and exciting. Whether you want to rock the stage or lead worship with passion, I tailor lessons to fit your goals and style.
I believe every student learns best when lessons are clear and fun. We start with solid basics like chords, scales, and rhythm, then move into more creative ideas that bring your playing to life. I encourage you to experiment with sound and emotion to create music that truly connects with listeners.
We work on technique and feel, but also on understanding the music’s story and mood. This helps you play with meaning and power, not just notes. I support you in building confidence and skill at your own pace.
Together, we use practical exercises and songs that inspire you. I also introduce ways to practice effectively and stay motivated. My goal is to help you grow as a musician and enjoy every step of the journey.
