About Jawad

Hi!

My name is Jawad Sahil and I’d like to welcome you to my profile. I have done Masters in English Literature & Linguistics, with over five years’ worth of experience in tutoring and teaching English Literature. Unlike other English teachers I teach both Literature and Linguistics. My area of teaching includes poetry, drama, short story, their critical and thematic analysis. I have also an excellent grip of Phonetics, phonology, syntax, socio, psycho linguistics, pragmatics and semantics.

About the lesson

I have designed programs of study that build a student’s skillset slowly and efficiently.

I offer a unique method toward improving a student's ability to read and analyze literature texts. Many of my previous students have achieved Grades 8-9, and I have had some students attain 90% in their GCSE & A Level papers.

I structure my lessons around the needs and requirements of the student, and study the particular syllabus carefully to prepare students for exams.

Every student is different and I take care to tailor everything to their needs. I listen carefully and encourage each student to do their own thinking. I also give help in proofing and close reading of student and professional texts. I particularly enjoy teaching poetry, Shakespeare, the Romantics, and Modernism.
