About Isobel

I am a recent graduate from the University of Bristol of Engineering Design Masters, I’m looking to fill my time with either part time or full time tutoring work. I have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring in the past and find it a very rewarding job.

About the lesson

The lessons would be tailored to the student and depend on the aim of the tutoring. In the past I’ve explained sections of study, created and gone through practice questions, and taught techniques specifically for exam scenarios. I have done either 1 hour lessons or full days (9-4 with a 2 hour break) for more intensive study over the summer holidays.

I was very happy with Isabel’s tutoring and would happily recommend her to other parents.

She worked with my son, over the summer to prepare him for the 11+ exams. Isabel was always punctual, reliable and well prepared. She built a great rapport with my son, kept him engaged, and struck a good balance between encouraging him and challenging him.

Academically, she is very strong, particularly in mathematics, and was able to explain concepts clearly in a way that my son understood. She was also organised and professional throughout the two weeks we worked together.

Most importantly, my son was successful in gaining a place at a top grammar school, and I’m very grateful for the support Isabel gave him during that important period. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to families looking for a capable, dependable and knowledgeable tutor.
