About Juan
I have just finished my bachelor's degree Mathematics and Physics. I have been tutoring professionally in these subjects since I graduated high school in 2013. My first job as a tutor consisted of both one on one and drop-in settings at the Mathnasium. In the drop-in setting, I tutored anywhere from 2-10 students at a time in subjects varying from arithmetic to calculus and college physics and chemistry. Since then I've held similar jobs as well as a Learning Assistant position for some calculus courses at The University of Texas at Austin.

I have given lessons to students of all ages, from pre-k students to adults. As such, my techniques and methods are extremely flexible and depend on the student and subject. Generally, however, the goal of each session I have with a student is for them to walk away with the most they possibly can. This involves helping them obtain a higher understanding of the reasoning behind the subject so they can then apply this understanding to a variety of problems.
