About Claire
I've been tutoring mathematics since I was in middle school and continue to teach to this day. I've taken classes up to calculus 2 with A's and received a high score on my AP mathematics exams. I have a passion for algebra and love teaching. I currently work with middle schoolers on geometry and algebra 1, as well as some high schoolers with AP calculus B/C, so I have a wide range of skills.

As a tutor for years, my students have succeeded with my more visual methods for teaching mathematics. I use drawings to teach students the overall topic rather than one step, making sure they understand conceptually.
I constantly ask questions to make sure the student actually understands the concept and is not just following a pattern.
With younger students, I turn learning into gaming. I use projects like bingo, games like dominoes, and outdoor games similar to soccer to keep students engaged while still learning.
My teaching is for all ages of any levels, as I have experience with every school age.
