About Charles
I am currently a Systems Engineer for the US Navy. I have a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. I tutored both for the University and privately for 5 years. I also tutored in high school, as well as after graduating, although not as frequently. So I have experience tutoring students of all ages and backgrounds. I try to connect with people from different backgrounds than myself as much as possible so I can be less ignorant. I have an easy going personality, and try to always have an optimistic view of life.

I offer a personalized experience for my students by tailoring my tutoring methods to match the students’ backgrounds, experiences, and interests. This allows the students to better retain the knowledge by relating the concepts to parts of their lives that matter. I am also flexible with group tutoring There are a couple of benefits with this route including sharing the costs of the session and allows collaboration amongst the students to allow them to show their understanding of the material. I’m a strong believer that teaching is the strongest tool for learning and retaining.
