About Jessica
I'm a currently practicing Registered Nurse with over 10 years of clinical experience, primarily in ICU settings.
As a travel nurse, I've worked in multiple states across more than 30 hospitals and healthcare environments including acute care, critical care and home care. These experiences have shown me how much communication impacts patient care. While living abroad I began teaching English to professionals who needed to communicate clearly and confidently in real-world settings.
I've also personally experienced what it feels like to work and communicate in a second language in professional environments, the pressure, hesitation and the challenge of wanting to be understood clearly. This perspective shapes how I teach.

My teaching approach focuses on helping healthcare professionals communicate naturally and confidently in real clinical situations, not just memorize textbook English.
As a registered nurse with more than 10 years of experience in the United States and over 5 years teaching English to professionals in Chile, I combine real healthcare knowledge with practical language coaching.
Lessons are interactive and conversation-based, with students doing most of the speaking. I provide pronunciation feedback, vocabulary support and personalized coaching tailored to each students goals.
Topics may include patient communication, handoff reports, charting, interviews, phone calls and everyday clinical conversations.
A typical lesson may include:
