About Kenny
I have spent many years learning under many different teachers and styles. I was a full-time learner for 22 years graduating from college with a major in biochemistry and a minor in mathematics. I never achieved below an A in any of my math courses. Math was always my favorite subject in school. I decided to become a medical doctor, but quickly realized that I was better suited for the math arena. I am currently teaching high school math (algebra 1 and geometry). I love what I do and would love to do more of it in the online arena.

I believe in teaching the fundamentals to understanding their content as simply and concise as possible. I then like to allow students to work through problems and come to the solution themselves as much as possible. In this way, I believe students retain the knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of mathematics. When guidance is required, I provide what is necessary to lead the student to the correct decisions. As we advance from problem to problem, I like to see that improvements are being made in the students' approach to problems. By the end, I want to see that the student can do the problems necessary all by themselves to assure that I have guided them to complete understanding of the concepts. I have experience with teaching in-person as well as online. I am particularly well equipped to tutor in high school level mathematics including: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus
