About Defne
Tutoring holds a special place in my heart, allowing me to share my enthusiasm for both learning and teaching. As a dedicated medical student, my journey is driven by the pursuit of knowledge and the desire to make a lasting impact on people's lives. With aspirations to become a skilled surgeon in the future, I am deeply committed to mastering the intricacies of medicine and surgery. Beyond the realm of medicine, I find joy in a variety of hobbies. You'll often find me engrossed in sketching, as art provides a unique outlet for creativity. Additionally, my love for reading extends to non-fiction books, particularly those related to medicine, soft sciences, and autobiographies. These readings enrich my understanding of the world and inspire me to approach each tutoring session with fresh insights and perspectives. Through my dedication to both medicine and diverse interests, I strive to instil a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm in my students, encouraging them to explore their passions and unlock their full potential.

In my maths tutoring sessions, I bring a dynamic and effective approach to learning that is tailored to each student's unique needs. With a typical lesson duration of one hour, I draw upon my extensive qualifications and experience as a medical student at Imperial College London, where I also achieved first-class honours in Anaesthetics and Critical Care Bachelor of Science. My tutoring expertise spans across a wide spectrum, catering to students from Year 5 to Year 13, including those preparing for medical school entrance exams. I also offer specialised guidance for SAT Maths, BMAT, and UCAT exams. My teaching methodology revolves around interactive and engaging lessons, incorporating visual aids and real-world examples to simplify complex concepts. My ultimate aim is to not only boost academic performance but also ignite a genuine passion for maths, empowering students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their academic endeavours and future careers.
