About Muriel

I am originally from Germany and live in Edinburgh (since 2018). I am native German speaker and am looking to help students reach their German language goals, whatever they may be. Having learned English, French, Italian and Finnish myself, I have plenty of experience when it comes to learning a new language. I just finished my PhD in Edinburgh and am now focusing on teaching in my spare time. I have experience teaching sciences at university and giving private lessons in German, English and maths. Happy to meet in Edinburgh or online!

About the lesson

I will help you reach your personal language goals and make sure you stay motivated with regular fun and interactive lessons!

Each lesson is tailored towards the student and their personal preferences and needs.

I first evaluate the current level of the student and then design each class individually to suit them best. I check each week what their biggest difficulties are and then work towards improving in these areas. I cover vocabulary (a different topic each lesson), grammar (from beginners to advanced) and reading, writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation. If the student has a particular issue they want help with, I can create lessons specifically to that. Each lesson is designed individually for each student.
