About Wendy
I was born in ChongQing China, and lived in ShenZhen (next to Hong Kong) for many years. I am fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Japanese. I love working with children and teaching. I am a fingerprinted and licensed pre-school teacher and have worked for the last 5 years as a lead teacher. I am currently studying to get a BA in Early Childhood Education, with a specialty in Special Ed.

I use play based content combined with structured curriculum. There are clear variances in the content, depending on the age of the student. Younger children require more play-based content reinforced through the books and we transition as the children develop and get older. A typical lesson for a younger child would be 30 minutes and 45-60 minutes for older children, depending on their attention span. I am easy going but set clear expectations and have clearly defined goals, for each lesson, and for each level. All prospective students are evaluated prior to the first lesson.

Details
For under 8 year old, I only offer 30-45 minutes depending on a child's attention span. The first 30 minute lesson is free, as it is also an evaluation and getting to know your child. The rates for 30 minutes lesson is 30 per lesson, and 45 minutes lesson is 40 per lesson for the virtual class. There will be 10 dollar travel fee for each time to go to your home in the San Marcos area. You can save the 10 dollar fee by coming to my home, in San Marcos, above Kaiser.
