About Sophie

I have a Master’s degree in Communication, Arts and Media and have been living in the UK since 2008.

I have experience tutoring two adults with different levels of French, from beginner to more advanced.

I have always had an interest in languages and studied them at school and university. I am also currently learning Hungarian and Swedish myself, so I understand the challenges of learning a foreign language and the importance of regular practice and building confidence.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, practical and adapted to your level and what you would like to improve.

I can help with French conversation, beginner basics, pronunciation and homework. I also like to use everyday topics, music, films and real-life situations to make practising French more natural and enjoyable.

We can discuss your level, interests and goals before the first lesson so that the sessions are adapted to you.

All lessons are online.

Sophie is a warm and engaging French teacher. She taught both me and my husband over a period of several years. My husband was returning to French after a considerable number of years and Sophie increased his French skills and his confidence enormously. I had weekly French conversation with Sophie and she was very supportive - she was very good at intervening to correct mistakes without interrupting the flow of the conversation or being too intrusive. We both highly recommend Sophie as a French teacher for all levels of French, from beginner up to very proficient.
