About Lina
I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from China. I was born and raised in China and moved to Washington State three years ago. I have a Mandarin proficiency certificate and about 10 years of teaching experience.
I enjoy teaching students of different levels, especially beginners. I can help with Pinyin, tones, pronunciation, daily conversation, vocabulary, reading, and basic Chinese grammar. I teach in a patient and encouraging way, and I like to make lessons practical and easy to understand.
I prefer in-person lessons because face-to-face learning is very helpful for Mandarin pronunciation and tones. I am happy to teach students in Kirkland, Redmond, and nearby areas.

My lessons are patient, practical, and easy to follow. I teach Mandarin Chinese based on each student’s level and goals. For beginners, I focus on Pinyin, tones, pronunciation, basic vocabulary, simple grammar, and daily conversation. A typical lesson includes review, new words, speaking practice, pronunciation correction, and homework.
I am a native Mandarin speaker from China with a Mandarin proficiency certificate and 10 years of teaching experience. I prefer in-person lessons because students can learn pronunciation and tones better face to face. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adult beginners.
