About Rafael
I'm a native Spanish speaker -- born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico -- who understands from personal experience the challenges involved in learning a second language. Last year, I was able to use my background as an English Spanish translator and career communications professional to tutor a Ukranian student living in Barcelona in both English and Spanish through the website ENGin. I am currently retired from full-time work but still actively involved in the translation and interpreting business and looking to make a difference by helping students of all ages learn the beautiful Romance language, Spanish. I take pride in being thoroughly prepared for my lessons and am very patient with a good sense of humor.
