I am a native English speaker from the US (New York region), and have taught both English essay writing to American students as well as English as a Foreign Language to non-native speakers. I pursued a BA in English literature in college and have always enjoyed the art of writing as well as teaching it to others. I believe I also provide an advantage to foreign students as I grew up speaking two other languages besides English--Spanish and French, which I also teach--so I am familiar with the way many foreign students, especially Spanish and French speakers, think when learning English, and what teaching approaches work best for these students when learning the language.
