About Jessie
Hello! My name is Jessie or Jiahe, and I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I was born and raised in China for the first 12 years of my life, where I completed my primary education. Growing up in a Chinese-speaking household, I am fluent in Chinese, and it remains my native language. Both of my parents are Chinese, and we communicate in Chinese at home, ensuring my language skills are well-honed and deeply rooted in the culture. In my own spare time, I watch Chinese films and read Chinese books to ensure my reading skills.
During my high school years, I continued to excel in Chinese by taking Year 11-13 Chinese courses to support my NCEA studies. My proficiency in the language allowed me to assist my Chinese teacher in tutoring my classmates. This included:
Speaking: Helping with pronunciation and conversational skills.
Writing: Guiding the correct order of writing Chinese characters.
Reading: Assisting with sentence structure and comprehension.
With a strong foundation in both Chinese and English, and years of experience in tutoring, I am dedicated to providing high-quality educational support. My personality is geared towards helping others succeed, and I truly enjoy spending time with children, guiding them towards academic success.
