About Catherine
I am a nurturing veteran teacher who has taught for 12 years at the elementary level. While in Rock Falls, I received a grant to obtain my ESL certificate from Northern Illinois University. I have also worked with numerous students through after-school programs and during our local summer camp. When first meeting students, my number one priority is to make sure they know that I care for them and I am invested in their growth, both personal and academic! I strive to find various methods of teaching new topics and skills so that all learners understand the material and feel successful. I am open to new ideas, methods, and questions from peers and from students- I truly believe that I can learn just as much from my students as they can learn from me!
