About Cristian
Sessions are one on one via webcam and built around what you actually need that day. Before we start I ask you to bring two or three topics you have been stuck on and any recent quiz or practice exam results you have. That tells me exactly where to focus so we do not waste time on things you already know.
Each session follows a simple structure. We open with a quick check on where you are, spend the bulk of our time breaking down the core concept using visuals, comparison tables, and clinical connections, and close with practice questions so you leave having used the material rather than just heard it.
I can help with the following.
Medical school coursework: physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, anatomy, histology, cardiology, and clinical reasoning across all organ systems.
Board prep: USMLE Step 2 CK, COMLEX Level 1, COMLEX Level 2, and question strategy for both. I took Step 2 and both COMLEX exams recently so I know what the current versions actually test and how they phrase things.
Pre-med and undergraduate: biochemistry, organic chemistry, general chemistry, cell biology, genetics, physiology, pharmacology, anatomy, microbiology, and MCAT biology and chemistry.

My name is Cristian. I am a fourth-year osteopathic medical student with a focus on cardiology, and I have been tutoring students at every level since my second year of medical school.
My undergraduate degree is in Biomedical Sciences with a Chemistry minor. Before medical school I spent nearly a decade working as a nationally certified pharmacy technician, so pharmacology is not just something I studied for an exam. I have worked with those drugs in a real dispensing environment and understand how they function beyond the page. My research background is in cardiovascular lipidomics, which means I can take lipid metabolism, biochemical pathways, and cardiac pathophysiology from the molecular level all the way to a clinical scenario without losing the thread.
On board exams I scored in the high 240s on USMLE Step 2 CK and have passed COMLEX Level 1 and COMLEX Level 2. I know these exams from the inside.
After years of tutoring, I have noticed that struggling students almost never have an intelligence problem. They have an explanation problem. Nobody showed them the mechanism behind the fact. Once you understand why something works the way it does, the rest follows. That is what every session is built around.
