About Amba
Hi, I’m Amba. I’m currently studying for a BA in History and Politics at the University of Nottingham. I’ve always loved learning and exploring big ideas, which is why I chose to study these subjects at university after achieving an A in both History and Politics at A level, as well as a Grade 9 in History at GCSE. I’m friendly, patient, and enthusiastic, and I enjoy helping students build both confidence and strong academic skills.

I believe the best person to help is someone who has recently sat the new GCSE and A level curriculum. Having gone through the process myself, I understand the demands of the specifications and what examiners expect, so I can offer students practical, up-to-date guidance. My teaching style is then tailored to each student’s needs: I begin by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, then set clear, achievable goals. I use a combination of step-by-step explanations, active recall, and practice questions to build both understanding and long-term memory. Above all, I create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.
