About Natalie
Hello, I'm Natalie Kirke, a second-year medical school student at the University of Otago. I grew up in Hong Kong, before moving to Auckland at the age of 13. Over the last four years, I've been dedicated to tutoring NCEA students, and this year, I started tutoring first-year university students in HUBS191/192 at Arana College, a Halls of Residence affiliated with the University of Otago. Teaching is a true passion of mine, and I take great joy in making difficult subjects simple and helping individuals excel academically. I look forward to getting to know you.

In my tutoring approach, I offer a highly personalized learning experience. As a student myself, I can understand the academic challenges students face. I prioritize tailoring each lesson to the student's specific needs and learning style, using evidence-based teaching techniques to ensure their success. I not only help students answer questions but also empower them to become self-learners for the long run.
I am particularly interested in assisting nervous students planning to study HSFY at Otago, providing guidance on study schedules, effective learning techniques, and offering comprehensive flashcards and summaries to ensure a successful and enjoyable first year at university. I am currently a HUBS191/192 at Arana College. I've also worked with a wide age range, from 13 to 20, and adapt my teaching methods accordingly.
With my strong foundation in subjects like NCEA Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, I'm well-equipped to support students that are struggling (or just want to improve their skills) in these areas.
