About Adam
I'm a biochemistry undergraduate at the University of Oxford with a strong academic background in biology and chemistry and a genuine interest in helping students succeed academically. I particularly enjoy breaking down complex ideas into clear, logical steps and helping students build confidence in subjects they may find initially challenging.
Having recently completed GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I know the standards required, the common pitfalls students face, and - most importantly - the strategies that make a real difference to performance.
I take a professional, organised and a supportive approach to tutoring. I'm patient in my explanations and adapt my teaching style to each student; creating a calm learning environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.

My lessons are structured, exam-focused and fully tailored to the individual student. As a biochemistry student at the University of Oxford, I bring both strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of what examiners are looking for at GCSE and A-level.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and follow a clear structure. We begin by identifying key weaknesses and then work through concepts by using clear explanations, diagrams, and carefully chosen exam-style questions. I place a particular emphasis on exam technique and being able to apply knowledge accurately under timed conditions.
I tutor GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, my lessons are particularly well suited to students aiming for high grades, strong university applications, or additional academic challenge.
