About Sophie
Passionate about the cello since childhood, I was fortunate enough to study at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMD) and build my career within a national orchestra, where I hold the position of co-principal cellist. I also perform regularly in chamber music, a field that nourishes my artistic sensibility and my joy in sharing music. My lessons are suitable for both beginners curious to discover the instrument and advanced musicians wishing to refine their playing. I adapt my teaching methods to each individual, ensuring technical progress while fostering the joy of playing.

Objectives • Discover and develop the joy of playing the cello • Acquire a solid technical foundation (posture, bow hold, intonation, breathing) • Develop musical listening, sensitivity, and interpretation • Gradually build a repertoire adapted to the student's level and interests Pedagogical Approach • Complete adaptation to the student's age, level, and objectives (beginners, children, adults, advanced) • Rigorous yet always supportive and motivating learning • Possibility of directing the work towards orchestral performance, chamber music, or simply the pleasure of playing at home • Solid stage and teaching experience thanks to my background as an orchestral and chamber musician
