About Isabella
I’ve been tutoring since high school, and over the years, I’ve honed my skills in helping students build confidence in their abilities. Currently, I’m studying Computer Science in college, and I also have a deep love for mathematics. I find joy in helping others unlock their potential in math and discover how it can be fun and creative. Beyond academics, I also enjoy art. In my free time, I repurpose clothes, adding my own creative touch, or simply sketching and drawing. This blend of logical thinking and creative expression allows me to approach tutoring from a unique perspective, making learning both engaging and effective. As a tutor, my goal is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel confident in themselves and motivated to learn. 1. I like to take a student-centered approach by focusing on understanding each student's unique learning style and strengths. I adapt my teaching to match their pace and preferences, whether they prefer visual explanations, step-by-step guidance, or hands-on practice. 2. Instead of just solving problems, I emphasize understanding the underlying concepts. I believe that once a student understands the concepts behind each topic, they can apply their knowledge to solve similar problems with ease. What sets me apart from other tutors is that as a 20-year-old community college student, I can relate to the challenges students face in high school math. I have the perspective of a peer and try to approach each lesson with patience and empathy, because I know that math can be daunting for many students. I primarily tutor high school students, helping them with algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, precalculus, and any other high school-level math subjects.
