About Hazel
I am a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music with a Guitar Major. I have worked with over 200 students from young beginners to adult learners. My lessons cover classical, jazz, blues, acoustic, and electric guitar with strong technique and theory throughout. I am passionate about helping every student find genuine joy and creative confidence in their playing. My lessons are structured, engaging, and always tailored to the individual. My guitar lessons build strong technical foundations while keeping every session musically engaging and creative. I begin with a clear assessment of each student's level, goals, and musical interests so every lesson is immediately relevant. Warm-ups develop scales, chord changes, and picking technique to build coordination and confident playing. Theory is connected directly to the music students are working on throughout every lesson. Songwriters receive focused coaching on chord progressions, melody development, and finishing original compositions. Performance students work on stage confidence and consistency under pressure. Backing tracks develop timing and musical expressiveness throughout. Digital tools including DAWs and amp simulators are incorporated to reflect modern music-making. Clear weekly practice plans ensure consistent progress between sessions. My commitment is for every student to become a confident, creative, and genuinely passionate guitarist.
