About Holly
I’m a second-year student at the University of Bath studying International Management and French. I have always loved languages having studied German, Mandarin, Latin and French. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy sharing that passion with others. Through my experience as a French prefect at school, a peer mentor at university, and a private GCSE tutor for my sister, I’ve learned how to adapt my teaching to different learners and make lessons enjoyable as well as effective. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to helping students gain confidence in French, whether they are complete beginners or preparing for their GCSE exams.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, using clear explanations, practice exercises, and interactive activities to build confidence and understanding. Lesson lengths are flexible, from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on preference. Lessons can focus on speaking, listening, writing, reading skills or grammar or vocabulary practice or exam paper practice. I am happy to help students go through past papers or complete their homework as well. I draw on my experience as a French prefect at school, a peer mentor at university, and a private GCSE tutor for my sister. I am patient and supportive, adapting my methods to suit different learning styles. Lessons are open to all learners, from complete beginners up to and including GCSE level French.
