About Nori
Hello! I’m Nori, a qualified and enthusiastic Mandarin tutor currently based in the UK. I’m completing my Master’s degree at Durham University, focusing on digital approaches to language and culture. Before moving to the UK, I taught Mandarin to international students from 48 countries at a university in China, helping learners of diverse backgrounds gain confidence in speaking and writing. I also provided writing guidance for primary and secondary school students, developing their creative and academic expression in Chinese. Now, I teach at a Mandarin Chinese school in Newcastle and offer 1:1 tutoring for British learners. With a Putonghua Level 2A certificate and an IELTS score of 7.0, I strive to make every lesson accurate, engaging, and culturally inspiring.
