I majored in math in college, and have a master's degree in STEM education. I have worked in math curriculum development, and as a teaching assistant. I'm also a writer, a reader, and do background extra work in film and television.

I think students learn best when knowledge is applicable to real-world settings. I like to help students master concepts by solving problems or engaging them with projects. I work with students and get them talking mathematics with me. I help students see how math is connected to other subjects, or things they are interested in.
