About Mahad
Welcome! I’m Mahad, I'm thrilled to work with you as your tutor. I'm a medical doctor and tutor, preparing for his USMLE pathway and I’m genuinely excited to help you make sense of medicine and the sciences behind it. Avid beekeeper, footballer and gamer.
My tutoring journey actually started while I was preparing for my own medical exams. I was later offered a tutor and mentor position at Apollo Buckingham Health Sciences Campus in the UK, where I taught medical students from around the world. I taught classes of 50+ students, delivered both in-person and online lessons, and was soon approached by pre-medical students at the university for one-to-one tutoring.
A lot of my tutoring was helping medical and pre-med students go over their day-to-day classes and lesson content, especially those topics that just weren't quite clicking. They'd come to me with something they couldn't get their head around, and we'd break it down together until it made sense.
With me, you can expect:
1. Deep subject knowledge: I’ll take the time to explain the "why", not just give you something to memorize.
2. A patient and approachable tutor: No question is too basic, and we can slow down or go deeper whenever you need.
3. An adaptable teaching style: I’ll adjust the pace, depth and approach around how 'you' learn best.
4. Real clinical perspective: Where appropriate, I’ll connect basic science to clinical cases and real-world medicine.
5. A genuine interest in your progress: My goal isn't simply to get through a syllabus; it's to help you become more confident in understanding and applying what you learn.
Whether you're a pre-med student building your foundations, a medical student preparing for exams, or simply struggling with a difficult topic, I'm here to help you tackle it step by step. Let's make those difficult concepts finally click!

3. Understand, don't memorize – Focus on the “why” behind concepts and how different topics connect.
4. PBL & clinical reasoning – Apply your knowledge through clinical cases and problem-based learning.
5. Personalized & accommodating – Patient, approachable, and happy to adapt lessons to your pace, learning style, and needs.
6. Recent medical graduate – I remember what it is like to learn these concepts as a student and can explain them in a relatable way.
7. Free first lesson – Use the first lesson to discuss your goals, assess your needs, and see if my teaching style is right for you.
I teach anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, biology and other medical sciences, with active recall and practice questions incorporated where appropriate.

Mahad has been a great help for my board preparations. He helped me understand and reconstruct the core concepts of anatomy. I loved his teaching style and ability to break down things to the basic concepts. Highly recommended
