About Atharva
As a recent Year 12 graduate, I have extensive experience in high-level science and math, achieving distinctions in the Australian Mathematics Competition, the Australian Physics Olympiad, and the Chemistry RACI International Quiz. I am passionate about tutoring and helping students achieve their academic goals. I have experience volunteering in programs like Little Mathematicians, where I supported primary school students in developing their math skills. My commitment to excellence is reflected in my academic achievements and my dedication to providing the best learning experience for each student. I believe every student has a hidden potential that must be discovered, and I aim to bring that out.

My Approach to Tutoring:
I adopt a student-centered approach to tutoring, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to the unique needs and learning styles of the individual. I believe in building a strong foundation of understanding by breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible parts. This approach allows students to develop a deep, long-lasting comprehension of the material, rather than just memorizing facts.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My teaching methodology is highly interactive, combining theoretical explanations with practical, hands-on problem-solving. I focus on engaging students with real-world examples and encourage critical thinking. I make use of visual aids, analogies, and step-by-step walkthroughs to reinforce difficult concepts. My goal is not only to explain but to inspire curiosity and confidence in my students. Additionally, I emphasize active learning, where students are encouraged to ask questions and solve problems independently while I provide guidance and feedback.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
Each lesson typically lasts for 60 minutes, which I find is the optimal duration for maintaining focus and ensuring effective learning. However, I am flexible and can adjust lesson length depending on the needs of the student.
Who Are My Lessons For:
My lessons are for students in middle to high school (ages 12-18) who want to improve their understanding of math, science, and critical thinking. I cater to students who are looking to excel in subjects such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry, whether they are preparing for exams or simply aiming to boost their overall knowledge.
